spring smoothie............

MASHAALLAH, this is an innovation for a delicious smoothie by my youngest sister.

Here is the recipe:

2 oranges(peeled,deseeded and cubed)

4 medium size bananas (peeled and sliced into rounds)

6 strawberries

3 tbsp sugar or more if you have a sweet tooth

1 1/2 cup crushed ice

method:

In a blender, blend the above ingredients excluding the ice fo a couple of mins. Now, add the crushed ice (please check if your blender can support hard ingredients)blend for a few more mins. Add a tinge of lemon if you like. Pour in a glass and serve chilled.

Note: while peeling the oranges, remove the white layer of underskin of the oranges also because it brings a bitter taste.

These are some of the hawaiian flowers (pattern here) that i started but don't have any basic project in mind to fit them in. First thought of making a blanket/afghan, then decided to use them as a tablecloth, still not clicking. any ideas ??????

crocheted baby bottle cozies/covers/warmers.

These baby covers i had made, ALHUMDULILLAH, using this pattern. The strawberry baby bottle cover is exactly as the pattern but i added a crocheted drawstring instead of a ribbon and also made a matching baby cap to go with it, ALHUMDULILLAH.

MASHAALLAH, my elder sis gave me an idea to make another cover using pineapple colours as it uses pineapple sts. This is how it looks.

In this cover, i made a lot of changes. The top edging is different. I used the edging from this pattern. The drawstring is a crocheted chain with yellow and brown colors with the ends shaped as leaves, that was not from the pattern. ALHUMDULILLAH, it looks all pineappley.
